K is getting more and more mobile every day. He is really good at getting himself in a push-up/ plank hold and staying on his hands and knees. He rocks back and forth and attempts to propel himself forward but ends up going backwards instead. He will get it!
Today he has mastered getting himself in a sitting position from laying on his stomach; pretty big right!? He has also managed to pull himself up to a standing position if he has a good grip on something.
Tonight Greg and I had to be somewhere at 7:30, so we had this plan; we would get both boys to sleep by 7:15 and then our neighbors would stay here while we were gone. This plan seemed practical since both boys are normally asleep by then. So I fed K and then put him in his crib. He seemed really tired and he did not put up a fit when I left, so I assumed that he had fallen asleep. I brought D into the room a few minutes later and to my surprise K had pulled himself up and was standing, holding on to the side of the crib! I was terrified because we still have not lowered his crib but I was so excited because he is just getting so big! It was obvious that he was not going to sleep anytime soon, so we just brought both boys with us which was fine, but not part of the original plan.
When we got home, I stayed in his room while he was falling asleep just because I was so afraid he was going to fall out, and he just played forever; going from his stomach to sitting up over and over. It was so funny and cute!
My guess is that he is crawling by Thanksgiving. Crazy to think!!!
