Father's Day 2012

Technically tomorrow is Father's Day, but while I am thinking of it I want to write a post for my dear hubby.  I miss that man so much, and the boys do too.

This is a hard Father's Day since we can't spend it with Greg, but we know it will only be a few more months until we are together again.

Greg is a wonderful father. He loves his boys so much and sacrifices so much for them. They are so lucky to have a dad like him.  He is patient, kind, fun, and attentive to the boys.  He is the peacemaker in our home.  He works very hard to support his family and sacrifices so much for us.  We are so blessed to have him leading our family.

We miss Greg so much. Night time are the hardest for me with this deployment. The kids are in bed and I have time to think about what I miss.  I try to fill my time instead with reading and other things, but tonight I miss Greg.  We are coming up on the half way mark this week, and I am thrilled.  These past few months have gone by quickly, but they have also gone slow. I can't wait till our family is back together again!

The Boys' First Fishing Trip!

Our local Park and Rec department holds an annual kids fishing day at the beginning of June, and we went all the time growing up.  We are so lucky to be here this summer to be able to do this again this year with the kids.  My dad seemed excited about it, so that made it even more fun.

You have to sign up for time slots in order to keep the number of people there down, so we signed up for the 8 o'clock time.  Both kids caught a fish on their first cast, but they were both terrified of the fish. They must get it from me :) Overall, I think it was a good experience for the kids, but I am not sure how many times we will fish after this. :)
