Christmas and more!

Christmas has come and gone.  It is crazy because it feels like just yesterday that we were so anxious to leave, and now we are home and back to life!  We left to Ephrata, WA, where Greg is from, on the 23rd.  We flew out of Idaho Falls at 6 a.m., and I was so nervous for Deagan to fly.  I didn't know how he would be, but he did so great!  He loved that we got to hold him while we were traveling rather than being stuck in his car seat.  We got to Ephrata that afternoon, and spent the rest of the time with Greg's family.  Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were pretty relaxing.  It was fun to spend the Holidays with Greg's family, but I did miss my family and the traditions that we had growing up.  Greg's family and parents were so great to us.  Deagan also loved them all.  It was a never a dull moment for him!  Greg's brother works for Skywest, so he gave us some buddy passes.  I didn't know how it would be to fly on stand by during the Holiday season, but we got to Washington with out any problems, so I assumed that that would be the same getting home.  That however was not the case.  We spent a couple of days trying to get a flight home, but it was so crazy! With bad weather and over sold flights, it caused a lot of stress.  Because of Greg's parents, we were able to fly home on Friday.  We would not have been able to get home without them.  At 12:30 Saturday morning, we finally pulled up to Rexburg, and a TON of snow welcomed us!  We are so happy to be home, and are now just waiting anxiously until we hear about our internship in Seattle.  Here are a couple of cute pictures from the break!

Deagan played Santa this year.  Unfortunately, he slept through Christmas!

Dad and Deagan.
Greg and I while we were at the Ice Skating rink for Greg's sister, Melissa's, birthday. We don't have many pictures of the two of us, so I figured it was about time that I posted one of us for a change.
Holly and Melissa and Deagan.  He just loves his aunts!!
Deagan and I as were waiting at the Ice Rink.
Dad and Deagan again.  Cuties!
I love these pictures.  He was so smiley!

I love this little guy so much!
This is us as we waited at the Spokane Airport to fly home.  We were all so ready to go home, but despite that, Deagan was still happy!

I Am Legend Movie does NOT equal a happy baby!

Ok, so I know it was probably dumb of us to go see this movie today, but Greg and I were kind of bored this afternoon so we decided to go see a movie.  When we got to the theater, there was only 1 movie playing at that time, or we would have had to wait for an hour to see another one. The movie that was playing was "I Am Legend."  I hadn't really heard a lot about the movie, so we didn't know what to expect.  Deagan slept through the first half-hour of it.  For those of you who have seen this movie, you know that it is crazy and there are a ton of jumpy scences.  Towards the end of the movie, it gets really crazy loud, and that is where we lost him.  Deagan burst out in tears because of all the noice, and we ended up leaving early.    Which I was honestly greatful for because the movie scared me like crazy.  I feel like a horrible mother now, and I will never take Deagan to a movie that I don't know what it is about.

One Happy Family!

This is our Christmas picture this year.  We couldn't get Deagan to look at the camera, but I thought it turned out pretty good!

Happy Baby!

Deagan is such a happy baby.  He is so much fun, and I love being a mom.  Here are some pictures of our happy little boy.

So serious!

He just got his diaper changed, and he feels so much better.

His hair is starting to come in in the front now.  I think it makes him looked grown up!

He is telling me how happy he is.  He is quite the talker lately!

Ho Ho Ho--It's Santa Clause!

I think that it fits him don't you? Big round belly and jolly personality. It is definately Deagan!
Focus on Deagan, not me. It was early.

What a week!

What a week it has been! We found out on Wednesday that Deagan has an ear infection, which explains why he wasn't sleeping. I haven't slept really in about 4 days, so I am beyond exhaustion. It hurts Deagan to lay down and sleep, so I have been holding him and sleeping with him in our rocking chair. I have been so afraid that I am going to drop him or squoosh him that I am never really asleep. I hoping and praying that tonight the anti-biotics really kick in. It has been quite the adventure giving Deagan his medicine. He fights it SO much, and I also feel like such a bad mom when we give him his medicine but I know that we have to give it to him. The past couple of nights he has gone to bed past him normal bed time because we have had stuff to do, and he is always SO tired after his bath. Last night, we were giving him his medicine and trying to make it seem so exciting by smiling and laughing. He would take a little bit of his medicine and look back and forth between Greg and I. Then out of nowhere, he just burst into a really high-pitch scream-cry. It was the saddest thing ever! He seems to be feeling a lot better today as far as his ear is concerned, but now he is getting over a cold. Greg has been sick as well, and now I am just waiting for it to hit me. Let's hope it doesn't!

I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but he didn't feel good at all. Poor little guy!

He really doesn't like pacifiers, but I have been trying to get him to take one. So far, no luck.

Greg just walked in the door in this picture, and Deagan's face lit up! He sure loves his daddy!

Another picture of that cute little smile!

I know this looks gross, but its a picture showing how much he loves his medicine. Not!

I just love mornings

You couldn't tell from these pictures that last night was a very rough night. Deagan decided to wake up every 2 hours and scream. It was kind of funny because he never opened his eyes once during the whole night while he was doing this. He woke up this morning happy as ever. He is probably thinking how well he slept last night, and Greg and I are struggling to keep our eyes opened this morning. It is hard to stay frustrated when you see a face like this though. Everything always seems better in the mornings anyway. I just love mornings.

Happy 3 months Deagan!

It's official. Deagan is 3 months old now! Where has the time gone?
In this picture, he is waving to you all. He is so excited to be 3 months old now!
Again, he is showing his excitement. I know he looks very serious about this day, but he is actually very happy in this picture.
He went a little bit over bored with the birthday milk as you can tell from his double chin.
He is telling me how happy he is to be three months old.

Be careful what you wish for!

So I was reading on some of my friends and families blogs who live in Utah about how they had snow, and I hate to say this I was secretly jealous of them because we hadn't really gotten any "good" snow falls yet. I know it doesn't sound like me, but I was actually wishing that it would snow. Well this morning my wish came true in the form of 6-7 inches. I guess it is true when you hear the quote, "Be careful what you wish for." Now I wish I would have been a little more careful.

Cool Clothes!

These are Deagan's new clothes. My sister-in-law bought these clothes for him before he was born, and now they fit! I love them so much!

This is really my last post for today!

Sorry about all the random postings, but every time that I was finished with one I found more pictures that I wanted to put on here. I really think that this one is the last one though.

Daddy and Deagan pictures:

I just love my two men so much!! They are so cute together!

Mom and Deagan:

I just love Deagan so much! I love that he smiles at me now when I talk to him or when he sees me. It makes everything so worth it!
