Christmas 2013

Another Christmas has come and gone! I am posting this obviously a bit late, but wanted to jot down a few memories for posterity sake.

We spent Christmas in Maryland again this year. Ashley is living with us right now, so she spent the holiday with us as well. It was so nice to have some extra family with us!

We went over to a friend's house for Christmas Eve dinner. They made a lovely meal, and then their kids with ours dressed up to act out the nativity. It was pretty wild with 4 little boys, but also so fun. Kids make the holidays so fun!

The boys were so excited for Christmaa that night.  On the way home from our friend's, Kayden fell asleep but Deagan fought it. He was determined to stay up as long as he could. At one point he yelled, "I'm so tired I feel like I could pass out!" :)

I had everything pretty much ready to go, so we helped Santa put his gifts together and then made it to bed before 11!  The boys even slept until almost 8 the next morning! It was a wonderful Christmas miracle :)

The boys had a great time opening all their gifts, and I had a great time watching them enjoy the day. Christmas is just so much more fun when little kids are involved.

We had a very relaxing and low key day after that. I made a nice pancake breakfast, and then we spent the rest of the day playing with our Christmas toys.

My sister Chelsea is on a mission right now, and we got to talk to her that afternoon.  All of my siblings were on the line, and it was just so fun to hear from her and everyone.

My brother Kelly and his girlfriend got engaged Christmas Day as well, so it was just an all around great day!

I was so bad at taking pictures, but here are a few cute ones from the day:

Half Way Mark

It's hard to believe that I am over 20 weeks pregnant! It feels good to be on the tail end of this pregnancy and not the beginning anymore. The first 20 weeks were rough! Between feeling the effects of all-day sickness compared to just morning sickness and having a crazy fall with being a mom, working, and taking a class, it felt like we were all in survival mode. I am so grateful that I am feeling so much better!

Here are a few pregnancy updates:

-Food adversions: Just like with my other two pregnancies, the thought of chicken makes me squeamish. I also have not had a sweet tooth for anything sweet, which is really weird for me!

I have been plagued with heart burn with this pregnancy as well as my other two, so anyfyng acidic I try to avoid because it doesn't sound good, and I know it will make me feel terrible.

-Energy levels: I have been so tired with this pregnancy, which is probably related to having two other kids to take care of. I also worked a couple if really early morning shifts at work the first 20 weeks, so between the two I have been ready for bed by 7-8 most nights.

During the day I feel pretty good, but I always feel myself wearing down around 1-2. Sometimes I am lucky, and I get to take a nap, but that doesn't happen very often.

-Emotionally: I don't feel as anxious with this pregnancy as I have with my other two. Maybe it's because I kind of know what to expect? I worry about the baby's health all the time, but I think that's fairly normal. I just don't feel as anxious about what is coming in my pregnancy.

I am scared of having another boy in the house, and the thought of three kids kind of makes me nervous, but I know we will work that all out when it comes. I am just very excited to meet this little guy!

This picture is me at 20 weeks. I am over 22 weeks now, but you get the idea :)
