This summer we made it a goal to try to take the older boys out on "dates" as often as we would. It is easy for me to get caught up in the day to day life and not stop and spend individual time with each of my children.
One Friday evening, I took Kayden out to a local Korean dessert cafe and we tried the famous Korean shaved ice. He and I each have a sweet tooth, so this was right up our alley.
The treats were so yummy and to company was so fun.
We ended up walking around our neighborhood afterwards and we stopped and played at a park for a bit before it got too dark.
I love spending one on one time with my kids, and I hope this is something we can make a tradition in our home!
