One thing Korea is famous for is all the ancient palaces placed through out the city. We were able to explore one a few months ago on a beautiful spring day.
We got there right as they were changing the guards which was so cool!
We stopped in the shade for a bit since it was so sunny and hot that day, and another little family sat down with us. Easton went and sat down by this little girl and a swarm of Koreans came by to take these cutie's picture.
That little girl's family left and another family sat down next to us, and the whole thing happened all over again. :)
There was a cute little pond in the middle of the palace where we stopped to let the boys play. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place.
On the other side of the palace is where the White House of Korea is located which is called the Blue House. The thing that struck my about this area was how quiet the area seemed. I knew we were in Korea, but it felt different than so many of the other areas we have visited. I loved it!
Everyone was tired and hot by the time we reached the other side of the palace, and no one seemed happy to pose for a picture :)
On the subway ride home, the boys had fun trying on hats from random vendors. Pink is totally their color right?
They also loved watching the TV's in the stations, even though they can read or understand anything that is going on.
It was a great day visiting the palace, and I'm excited to explore some more of the palaces through out Korea!
