Chilly Weather

A couple of weekends ago it was pretty chilly, so we pulled out out winter clothes.  Deagan of course looks cute in them!

Deagan's hat from last winter.  It still fits!
Deagan got this snow suit last Christmas, and like his other snow clothes it still fits!  Pretty amazing.  He looks so cute in it!

California Proposition 8

It seems crazy that our society has come to the point where we are talking about amending the Constitution to fit our diverse lifestyles. I strongly believe that marriage between and a man and a woman is ordained of God and that that is the way that the Lord intended that families should be. I do not believe in taking away people's rights from them, but I do believe that we must uphold the sanctity of marriage and the family! The family is so essential to our happiness and salvation that I feel we must do all we can to make sure that our families are protected! So that is why I support California's Proposition 8.

The definition of my happiness...

...My family!
"I really think you should brush your teeth!"
This smile is priceless to me!

Future Senior Picture and Messes

This picture is kind of blurry, but he woke up one morning and was kind of grumpy.  Usually he needs some time in the morning just to himself, and this particular morning he was working on his senior picture poses.  He was kind enough to let us take a picture for future references.

Shortly after, he felt like it was time to revert back to his childish ways and destroy the bathroom.
"Silly mamma.  You know you can't keep up with my messes!"

It was then time to go back to the bedroom for some more poses, but he was running of ideas.

Oh well!  Mornings are just so fun!

Yummy! 5 minute chocolate cake

I found this recipe while I was blog hopping the other day, so we tried it out tonight.  It was surprisingly yummy.  So don't diss it before you try it!

5-MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 large coffee mug
4 tablespoons plain flour (not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, & mix well .
Add egg & mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add chocolate chips (if using), vanilla, mix again.

Set mug in the microwave & cook for 2½ to 3 min at
1000 watts. Cake will rise over the top of the mug,
but don't be alarmed! Some report that 2½ minutes works best. It depends upon your microwave.

(I did mine for about 4 min)

Allow to cool a little, then tip out onto a plate, if desired. This can serve 2 if you care to share!

Hints: Use a LARGE cup! Spray with Pam, or lightly grease, just in case! It's also been reported that the chocolate chips may go to the bottom, so choose to use, or not.

This could be the most dangerous cake recipe in the world, because now you are only 5 minutes away from dessert any time, day or night!
