Calvert Cliffs

Deagan and Kayden love anything involving sharks, so when we heard of a place where you can go collect your own fossil shark teeth, we knew we had to go.  There is a place called Calvert Cliffs nearby where we went to over the summer.  It was a beautiful park! We knew we had to hike a bit to get there, but were surprised by how long of a hike it was.  It was almost 2 ways EACH way to get to the beach to collect teeth, but the boys were highly motivated by the teeth to get there. The walk back, however was a different story.  It took a lot of convincing and games to keep their minds off the walk back. We never did end up finding any shark teeth, but it was still a great adventure.

Easton did so great the whole time.  We had him the front pack, and he loved being able to look out at everything around him.

Lounging in the sand

First time in the water!

This was the only non sandy place to put him to change his diaper.  It ended up getting covered in sand eventually :)

Deagan is not one to let a 100 degree day stop him from wearing his favorite snow boots :)

3 Months

What a difference a month can make!  Look at this little boy!

Beach Day with Friends

This past summer was the summer of beaches! We went more times than we ever have our whole life! It was such a fun summer.

One weekend, we met an old college roommate at their local beach for a day of water and fun, and it was so fun to catch up and to let the kids play.

Easton didn't really like any of our beach outings

The water was so shallow, so the kids could play pretty far out.  That person in the background is Greg going out on a body surf.

Ashley's turn! She actually stood up once, but fell in a couple of times :)

Roomies!
It was really over cast that day, so I was bad about putting sunscreen on everyone.  As a result, we all got really burned.  The following pictures of the boys that night as we got ready for bed.  I put coconut oil on them to help with the burns and they looked so funny being so shiny and red. The toy guns were for effect? They look kind of creepy don't they :)

Our Three Boys

Here are a few fun pictures from the boys over the summer:

The boys put clothes on one of the toys and sat it next to Easton for size comparison.  Pretty close match!

Collage of cute Easton pictures

All three boys wearing shark shirts. Easton was not too excited

Kayden "trying" to help, but really he is probably plotting someway to torture him

Deagan and Kayden hopped in bed with Easton one morning

Deagan always wants to play with Easton's arms.  Easton doesn't always seem to like it though :)

Two boys seemed to have dressed up their baby brother

His expression looks worried

Look at those eyes!

This just makes me smile :)

And this one too!

I don't think I will ever have a "normal" picture of these three

The older boys wanted him to hold a toy knife.  Easton looks like he is enjoying it! :)

Deagan's Imagination

Deagan is a very smart young man, and is always thinking of ways to have fun.  In fact, in every single prayer that he says, he prays that we will have fun.  Having fun is important to him!

He got on a dragon and viking kick over the summer after watching "How To Train Your Dragons 2," and wanted to be a viking for many days after that.  One evening, he made a viking costume out of paper and wanted to were it to a local baseball game that we went to.  I love that he is at an age still where he doesn't care what other people think of him, and I love how creative he is!  What a joy it is to see him use his imagination for good.

I love how his "sword" reflects the light in the back so it looks like a magical sword almost here!
