The week before the kids and I went to Washington, my whole family went camping in Jackson. We have not been camping as a whole family in years, so it was fun to be all together. This was the boys first time camping as well, so it was really a fun weekend doing all these "firsts" with them.
I have loved all the time we have had to spend with my family since we have been here. It is such a blessing to us to make these memories!

A Visit to the Nelson's- Part 2
It was very hot when we were visiting, so we spent a lot of time in the pool. On Saturday, everyone was home, so we spent a few hours enjoying the water together. My sister-in-law is a great swimmer and a lifeguard, so she helped Deagan with his swimming. It was a very lovely morning!

| He loves being able to swim around on his own, so Deagan spent most of his tim floating around on the noodle. |

Our trip to Washington was short, but so sweet. I just feel so blessed to have married into such a great family!

A visit to the Nelson's-Part 1
-We got kicked off our first flight out of Cody because they over sold the flight by 9 people!
-We got delayed an extra 2 hours in the Denver airport, which meant we didn't actually make it to Greg's parents house until 3 a.m. They were so sweet to come and get us!
-When we got to Washington a couple of days later, our bags did not follow us. Long story short, the people in Cody mislabeled our bags, and our bags spent a few days in the San Francisco airport. Thanks to prayers and people looking out for people, we got our bags back the day before we left Washington! While it wasn't fun to not have any of our stuff with us, I learned that we can really get by on a lot less than we think. What a great lesson to learn!
It was so nice to spend time with Greg's family and for them to see the boys who have changed a lot since we last saw them. The kids warmed up to them right away and really loved being with them and their aunt Melissa. My in-laws live on a great property; lots of yard to run and play in, a pool to swim in, and toys galore! They also have a fruit orchard off their property, and we spent the first full day outside picking and eating peaches. You can't beat a peach right off the tree!
I got a few things at Walmart for us, but we really didn't have much. The boys preferred to run around in their undies anyway though! :)

Painting outside
Every once in awhile I feel creative. It's so rare I have to take pictures! The kids wanted to color with chalk outside but all the chalk was gone, so I made some side walk paint. I used equal parts corn starch and water and the some food coloring. It was a really fun activity! I really need to do stuff like this more often because all of us have fun when I do.
Visiting friends
A few weeks ago, my dear friend that I grew up with was in town with her kids. We got together at a park to let our kids play, and we all had a good time. The kids played so well together, and Cori and I had a great time talking. We are very grateful for old and new friends during this deployment.

Beautiful summer evening
I love Wyoming evenings in the summer. It might be really hot during the day, but it cools down at night, unlike the east coast weather that I have gotten use to.
I try to take the kids out most nights to play because it's more bearable for all of us. This particular night was perfect. The sunset, the company; just perfect.

Kids imagination
I was talking to my mom recently how when Deagan hands me a toy to play with, I cringe. I realized its because I have totally lost my imagination when it comes to toys and such. What a lame mom!
Take this picture for example, I would never have thought of building this on my own. Well I might have eventually, but kids have the ability to transform things. I love that. I need to be more like that.
