Valentine's Day

It seems like it was just Christmas, but here we are at the end of Valentine's Day. Crazy.
Deagan is becoming a lot more aware of Holidays and that they are special days, so he was really excited last night before he went to bed. He said he was so excited he couldn't sleep, and then fell asleep 2 seconds later :)
Because he was so excited, I tried to make it a fun day for the boys. I made a heart shape breakfast, we had friends over to do Valentine's Day things, and just spent the day doing things the boys wanted to do. It was a lot of fun!
One of Deagan's favorite things he did today was he called into his favorite radio show! (Kid's Place Live on XM). That totally made his day. It was so fun because we listen to that station whenever we are in the car, and we are in the car A LOT!
We ended the night with a heart shaped dinner, and we went around and told everyone one thing we loved about the other person.
It was a lovely Valentines's Day! <3

Random Pictures

I found these pictures on my phone and just thought they were cute :)

Our First Snowfall

Last winter we had no real snow when we lived in Alexandria, so we were super excited when we woke up one morning to a legitimate amount of snow! Greg took the day off work, and right after breakfast we went out and played in it. It was a really bitter cold day, so we stayed out long enough to make some memories, and then we came in. Deagan loved it the most, and went out a few more times on his own.
Living somewhere where it doesn't snow very much makes me miss the snow, even though I know I would not like it as much if we lived in an area where it snows a lot again. It's funny how you can forget :)

I miss my mom

My lovely mom came for a visit a couple of weeks ago, and it was so wonderful having her here. I loved showing her our new home, our new neighborhood, our routine, etc. After having spent all summer with her, the boys were in heaven to see their grandma again.

We tried to do at least "fun" thing a day while she was here. We went to museums, played tourists downtown, and ate lots of yummy fro-yo. It was a perfect trip :)

I knew I missed her a lot when the day after she left I set the dinner table for 5 instead of 4. In those few short days I got use to having her around.

I love visits from family and friends!

I found this picture on my phone the other day that was taken while we were at church. I love these two!
