Our little man is growing up!

Deagan is officially crawling.  It seemed like it took him forever to do it, but now he is a pro!

We are heading to my hometown in Powell, WY this weekend to spend time with my family.  We are so excited!  I haven't been home in almost a year, so it is definitely a trip that is long over due.  We hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend!

A quick update on our little man....

He has the funniest faces.  Sometimes I think that he poses.
I love this because he looks so chubby!  I have been worried that he is too skinny, but this picture makes me not so worried.
(If you can tell in the background, we were watching American Idol.)
One of our good friends from our ward gave us a hat for Deagan to wear this summer. It is the cutest hat!  At first, he wasn't quite sure what to think of it.
After a while he warmed up to it.  Thanks Megan!
Greg is such a good dad.  He was reading to Deagan last night before he went to bed.  Deagan was very eager and overly helpful on turning the pages.
What a goof!
He is such a happy little boy!  All we are missing in this picture are some teeth!

Our little man

There is nothing really new to report other then the fact that we love our little family!  We are definitely a blessed bunch of people!

Deagan has started the stage where he pulls himself up on everything.  I was getting ready one morning and I found him standing by our bed.  He looks like he has been caught!
This is what he was doing before I said anything.  He looks like he is getting into to something that he knows he shouldn't.
Greg got this drum last week to add some spice to the music he writes.  Not only does Greg love it, but Deagan loves it too!  It is just his size.
Here is he playing along with daddy.

Deagan loves to play in his hamper.  He accidently pulled it over his head.  I thought it was a cute picture.
Right before it fell over on him...
We got this shirt at a WIC appointment last week.  He never wears it unless I am feeding him because I don't really care if it gets stains on it.  I thought it was funny because the way that the shirt is folded, it looks like it says "I eat mom."
He looks so long to me in this picture.
He was really tired one evening before dinner.  Even the toys couldn't keep his attention.

To My Mom...

Since today is Mother's Day, I wanted to write a few things about my mom.

Here are just a few reasons why my mom is so amazing:

1-She is the most patient person that I know
2-She is so loving
3-She always knows what to say to make me feel better
4-She has helped me through SO many hard times
5-She is so easy to talk to
6-She has raised an amazing family. (I am of course biased on this)
7-She has set the perfect example to me of how a celestial marriage should look
8-She is so smart
9-She has an incredibly strong testimony that I admire so much
10-She always sees the glass half full
11-She is able to take life as it comes
12-She has taught me how to be a mother
13-She is able to laugh when times are rough
14-She is so incredibly talented at the violin-I only wish that I would have stayed with it and then maybe I could have been as good as her
15-She is always looking for ways to serve others around her
16-She is BEAUTIFUL!!
17-She has instilled in me the love for reading
18-She is so funny!
19-She maybe be insanely busy but she always finds time for the things that matter most
20-She is such a good cook!

The list could go on!

Happy Mother's Day to the most incredible mother!  I love you mom, and I hope that you know how much I look up to you!  Thank you for the example that you have set for me and for giving me the desire to serve others.  You are an amazing person!

Deagan is a joy to have in our lives.  He is the funniest little guy.  Tonight he was very hyper, and was very rough at times.  As you can see from the picture below that he was so violent that he decided to attack dad.  He has him pinned!
He loves pens or markers, which I don't normally let him hold, but he got a hold of this pen and it kind of looked like he was using it as weapon.  Where did he learn this?
I am not sure what was going on when I took this picture, but he had the funniest expression on his face.
He also absolutely loves the camera.  Every time that I take pictures with it, he tries to take it from me.  You can see from his eyes here that he REALLY wants the camera!
Another attempt by the Deaganmiester to get the camera.  And once again, a failed attempt.

We must be crazy!

My twin sister and I have wanted to run a half-marathon for quite some time now. After Greg and I started dating, he got in on this to, so we have decided that we are going to be running the Teton Dam Half Marathon this summer. More specifically, it is on June 14. We have all been training for over a month now. I am beginning to think that we must be crazy though. Greg and I ran about 7 miles this morning, and I am SO tired! It was a pretty hard run though in my defense. There were hills after hills. The thought of running another 6 miles is just so unfathonable to me right now. (Is unfathonable a word?) Either way, wish us luck because I am beginning to think that we just might need it!
