I can't upload pictures quite yet, but we just wanted to let everyone know that we made it to Syracuse yesterday afternoon after 36 + hours of driving and after covering over 2,000 miles! The trip went better than expected. Deagan did FANTASTIC which was a huge blessing! We started traveling most mornings at 4 am and he would normally sleep the first 3-4 hours of the drive. We had a few bumps along the rode; someone stole our car topper which meant our car was packed to the brim, our transmission on our car started acting weird, it rained pretty much the whole drive and at times rained so hard it was impossible to see, we all grew extrememly tired of fast food, and the swine flu seemed to be following us the entire way! On top of those set backs though we were blessed more than we can even begin to imagine! The highlight of the trip was seeing how powerful prayer is and witnessing first hand the Lord's hand in our lives. It was a very humbling experience for me!
Our truck will not get here until Monday, so we have not gotten completely settled. It will be so nice to be able to unpack and make this place feel like home! Our apartment was not what we had expected, but it is growing on us. I think we have just been spoiled by living at University Village for so long.
We love the little town that we live in! It is so beautiful and seems so family friendly. We both feel really good about being here and are so excited for what lies ahead for us! We are excited to attend our ward tomorrow and to get involved with the ward so we can make friends. That is probably what we are looking forward to the most this weekend; going to church!
I will post pictures once we get settled!
Oh and thanks Brittney and Ryan for letting us stay at your place for a couple of nights!! We REALLY appreciate it! Love you guys!
