Its a beautiful day for a walk!

One afternoon while Greg was home because of his break, we decided to shampoo our carpets.  Or I guess I should say, I decided and Greg graciously played along:) We had to be gone for a few hours afterwards, so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful spring day that it was and walk around Green Lakes; one of our favorite places in this blessed state!

Please forgive my hair...it was humid that day.
He was so smiley after our walk!  We seriously have 100 pictures taken back to back trying to catch his smile.  He is pretty cute don't you think:)
For some reason Greg has this thing where he "eats" Kayden's hand when Kayden lifts his hand up, and Kayden always makes this face when he does it.  So cute:)

Poor kids looks scared to death.  We are pretty crazy, so I don't blame him:)

It was so funny because Kayden and Deagan's roles were totally switched on this walk.  Normally Kayden would be the one sleeping through it all, but this time Deagan was sleeping.  I wanted to document this.
Deagan finally woke up and played in the sand and water.  This is his favorite thing to do when we go there.

*I don't take credit for these pictures.  They are all Greg.  He is pretty talented!

Take me out to the ball game!

Greg wanted to take Deagan to a baseball game.  I think it is every dad's dream to do that:)

To prepare for the game, he bought Deagan his very own glove and ball.

It was a great day at the field!

Sunday Fun

Sundays are lovely days:)

Chocolate Mess

Deagan was eating chocolate in the car one day...

At least he was suppose to be EATING it, but these pictures speak for themselves:)

Being Prepared

You have GOT to check out this website:

If you know you need to get your food storage in order, like myself, then you will LOVE this website.  They break it down into steps that don't make putting your house in order so overwhelming.

It is my current obsession:)

We enrolled Deagan in a preschool for this upcoming school year this morning.

I am really excited about it.

As we were talking with the director of the program, I found myself feeling that there was no way that my little Deagan was actually old enough to be in preschool.  He will be 3 in September though.  THREE!

I can't believe that.

It is a great school and I think he will thrive in it.  He is so smart, and no I am not biased; he really is! They have a simple curriculum that helps prepare them for kindergarten.

Kindergarten?! When did he get old enough to start thinking about something like that???

My baby is growing up, and he has a great life ahead of him.

My boys

I am so bad about updating our blog, but I am taking lots of pictures.  Too many to post all on here, but here are a few of my favorites from the past week and a few stories to go a long with them.
Kayden is talking a lot more, and here are a coupe pictures trying to capture that.  In the first he is just screaming.  I think he was mad that I was taking his pictures and not feeding him:)
Deagan's green shirt and his green bike.

He gets on random kicks where he likes a certain toy and that is the only toy he really wants to play with for a while.  This day it was his green motorcycle.  It was kind of fitting that on that same day he was wearing his green shirt.

Kayden has a lot more awake times now.  Most of the time it is fun to have him awake more, but he has his moments of fussiness and crying and I kind of wish he would be sleeping instead:) Does that make me a bad mom?

Deagan is just the cutest thing ever still.  He is a little boy now.  He is totally not a baby.  I love that he is growing up, and I love watching him learn and develop, but he is more challenging now for some reason to me.  He is very independent and always wants his way.  That is typical right for an almost 3 year old, but I am struggling with my patience.

It is hard to stay frustrated too long though when he pulls faces like these:

There is a cute story behind this picture:
Whenever Deagan is doing something he shouldn't be, I ask him to please by a nice boy and to show me from now on how he can be a nice boy.  Out of nowhere one day he was crying because he was getting in trouble for something he did, and I asked him to show me how he could be a nice boy and he raised his arms in the air.  Now every time I ask him to be a nice boy he raises his arms.  I have no idea where he got that from, but it is really cute and helps me to smile at a time when I am really frustrated.

Right before this I asked him to show me how he is a nice boy, and he turned to me and pulled that face. Every time I look at it I laugh:)
